say it with me, everyone! "this time, it'll work! this time, it'll work!" power of positive thinking, folks!
i think with having a good handful of us to start, we're already off to a better start than before. we just all need to dedicate some time and get back into the swing of things, and keep each other motivated. and we can't give up straight away if it's hard to get into the groove! remember: THIS TIME, IT'LL WORK!!!
sara and i were talking today, and we thought making up a town centralised around some of the big cities in the north-east of the usa might be the best idea. so, i did some googling (my favourite thing!) and found that harrisburg, pa, is a short train ride away from nyc, dc and philly, and a little longer to boston and pittsburgh. plus, it snows there! (which is important to miss florida sara!) so... we were thinking a smallish city (like stoneybrook sized) just a few miles out of harrisburg.
we were also thinking that since we may want to do future and/or past storylines (though i think i'm the odd one out on even knowing how the future ones would work!) we could have a separate community for those not!real time posts. that way, the main community is in flowing real time, and the other can be more scattered with writing memories etc. if the WHOLE thing is scattered, it's going to be really difficult to go back and read it.
sara and i were also talking about a 6 degrees type idea. not everyone has to be from this made up town in pennsylvania, but everyone could have a connection to it. someones roomie at college could be from there... or an actor could be filming a movie there. or someones grandparent's live there. so we could really have characters living wherever we want, but they'd all have some kind of tie to this town. (if that makes sense!)
so ya, i figured this board was an easy way for us to all hash it out until we can set up a yim date night. i want to get this ball rolling asap!!
